| ...the poetry of Frankenstein (Image)
A lone bell tolls for the dead
Grief stricken
Tears fall onto the earth
Hungrily accepted by the desiccated soil
They arise from behind the tomb
With shovels they dig
The moon rises
The corpse is taken
A body hangs from the gallows
Cut down, neck broken
“The brain is useless. We must find another brain.
Two brains
Fritz makes a choice
A crash…a brain destroyed
The second brain acquired
A decrepit watchtower
Machines crackle and whir
Frankenstein and Fritz prepare for the storm
The heavens roar, thunder bellows
Lightning carves the night sky
The storm grows
A body rises towards the night
The sky opens…the night filled with power
The hand moves
Life?
"It's Alive! It’s Alive! It's Alive…It's Alive!"
"Now I know what it’s like to be God!"
I am here?
Why?
Darkness surrounds me
Who am I?
What am I?
Stairs, I remember stairs
A door opens
On the other side?
Two men
They stare at me…afraid?
I know one…somehow, I know
Sit he says…sit?
What? What is that?
Light…glorious light
There is light…no more dark
I must reach…must touch the light
No…No!
Don’t take the light
Fire…please not fire
Take it away…take it away
I killed him
He hurt me…burnt me
I killed him
Close the door, quick
It must be destroyed
The door breaks
It is free
He meant to kill me
Must kill first
Free…free at last
The sun…warm
The light…good
Trees
Birds
Beautiful…
A girl? A child?
She’s beautiful
Her hand in mine
Soft, warm
Her voice a song
A friend
Flowers…floating flowers
Look at how they float
Gone
Want more flowers
Float…beautiful
She will float
No?
What have I done?
Evil…me…hands
Hands
Dr. Waldman murdered
My Maria gone
Murdered
The monster
Find it…alive
Or not
Villagers…dogs…torches
They chase
You?
You made me
Caused my torment
Now you will die
Fire…the fire
Burning
Trapped
Can I die?
again? |
